I really enjoyed this episode. I think there’s more to talk about with regard to modern-day pop artist prophets/theologians. It might be an interesting project to develop a lectionary of texts (with media, of course!) that could accompany the Revised Common Lectionary.
At the end of the episode, I kept waiting for one of you to reference my favorite biblical film: The Last Temptation of Christ. That one deserves perhaps it’s own podcast episode because of its impact on contemporary culture when it hit theaters in 1988.
Great job, though, everyone!

Thanks Steven! I think you’re right about Last Temptation being it’s own episode. It may have come up briefly in episode 20 where we talk about biblical epics. Check out that episode for more about Jesus films and camp aesthetic.
